Doctors & Staff

Dr. Clark graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and received his doctorate in 1982. Dr. Clark is a past president of the Alabama Optometric Association, Birmingham Optometric Society and the Southeastern Congress of Optometrists. He is currently a member of the AOA. Dr. Clark is actively involved in the community of North Shelby County and has been on the Board of Directors for Safehouse. Dr. Clark and his family are members of Riverchase Baptist Church.

Dr. Hill received her Bachelor of Science in 1992. Dr. Hill graduated in 1996 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with her Doctor of Optometry. Dr. Hill was president of the Birmingham Optometric Society. She is currently a member of the American Optometric Association, Southern Council of Optometry and Alabama Optometric Association. Dr. Hill has won an award for Southern Council Clinical Excellence.

Dr. Dickerson received his Bachelor of Science in 1997 and graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmimgham and received his Doctor of Optometry in 2001. Dr. Dickerson is immediate past-president of the Birmingham Area Optometric Society and is also a member of the Alabama Optometric Association, the Southern Council of Optometry and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Dickerson has served as an ambassador for the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce and is a member of Shades Mountain Baptist Church.

Dr. Williams has been a member of our staff since he graduated from the UAB School of Optometry and received his doctorate in 2006. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, Alabama Optometric Association, Southern Council of Optometry, Logistics Coordination Committee (SECO) and the Birmingham Area Optometric Society (Secretary/Treasurer). Dr. Williams attends Hunter Street Baptist Church.

Dr. Rena Lewis joined our practice in January 2008. Dr. Lewis is a pediatric Optometrist and has most recently been in practice with her brother Dr. Martin Cogen. We are enjoying having Dr. Lewis as a part of our Pelham Eyecare family.

Dr. Lewis was born in Hackensack, New Jersey. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from UAB (1982). Dr. Lewis graduated from the UAB School of Optometry in 1986 and then completed a residency in Pediatric Optometry at the UAB School of Optometry in 1987. Dr. Lewis was an Instructor of Ophthalmology and has been a member of the UAB Department of Ophthalmology since 2001. She practiced pediatric optometry at a large medical practice in Atlanta, GA for five years and was Assistant Professor of Optometry at the UAB School of Optometry for five years. She has been in practice with her brother Dr. Martin Cogen for the past 10 years. Dr. Lewis is an active member of the American Optometric Association.
